NATIVE LANDS COMISSSION.

' AUCKLAND, December 1 11. Sir Robert Stout, Chief Justice and ohairman of the Native- Xiand" Commission, who is at present in Auckland, will leave foi Wellington to-morrow in connection with the business of the commission. AJ number of further reports on blocks of land in the Waifcato, Hawke's Bay, Wanganui, Wairoa, and Ohaka districts are now being prepared by the commission for presentation to the Governor. Th# time within which tihe commissioners ar» required by the terms of their commission to report to the Governor in regard to the result of their labours will expire at the end of the year. So for, Sir Robert Stout statpd to-day, the Government has not given any intimation of its- intentions in regard -to an extension, of time, buti such an c: .tension will be, of course, necessary to enable the work of the commission to le completed. Mr A. T. Ngata, M.P., and a member of the commission, will also probably proceed to Wellington •n tti© course of next week.
