Albion and Opoho commenced their Snatch on the North Ground. Alhion 'batted' ftcst, opening witK Grigg and R. Shepherd, but when the score had reached ■13 Shepherd was bowkd by Sharpe for 9. Ihithie followed, and, playing jiio.?, free / cricket, the score scon mounted to 95. wk«n Sbarpe bowled Duthie, who made 58 in good style. Drake was next, but Grig# ■was immediately run out, after playing carefully for 29. J. Shepherd and Drakto took the score to 260, when. Drake was caught in the long field, after having cemmiled 130 in fine, free, attractive cricket. Hie innings was quite a treat for the spectators, and he well deserved the ovation whioh he received on returning to cbe pavilion. His score waa made in 55 minutes, and included six s's, 16 4's, five 3V, and five 2's. Binney helped Shepherd f to'*take the score to 312, when the latter -was well caught off Sharpe. Albion only ■ucceeded in making 36 against the bowling «f Couper (four for 9), Healey (thvee for t), and Newton (two for 19). Dunedin won fcj 73 runs. The match Opoho v. High School resulted in a win for the latter by 59 runs. The "School made 128, Banner man (62) and AUoo (32) batting best. For Opoho Evans Jsix wickets) and Hubble (two) bowled best. ■Opoho replied with 69, Mackay (23) and Hubble (17) being highest scorers. For the School Thompson took five wickets, 'Atmore four, and Banncrman one. Star defeated Albion A by 4 runs (Star 57). The best scorers wefc J. Terry (19 not out) and Williams (9). Albion responded with 53.— For Albion Livingstone and Hart divided the bowling, and Jarvis <four for 16) and Ingram (five for 26)

secured the wickets for Star.

Grange defeated St. Kilda by 7 runs. y Grange's score was 35, Dunktry (10) and Galland (13) batting best. St. Kilda made 28, Milton (15) alone Teaching double figures. Waghorn bowled bast for St. Kilda., while Weir and King divided the fowling honours for Grange. V jrnington defeated Anderson's Bay by T4- rlins. Six of the Mornington reached

ajouble figures. Fra6er (33) and A. Hai# f32) batted well. J. Haig and Shadnell Jbowled best. For^ the Bay Abercrombio (18) and Weathers tone (15) were most sucikssful, while Kirkwood and Reid shared fee wickets.

FOURTH GRADE

ot*r defeated Momington by N sons.

Mornington'a total was 70. Steele (18), Sawell (17), and Blackwood (13) reached double figures. M'Leod (six wickets for 25) was the best of the Star bowlere. Star's score was 140, M'Leod (40), Bradley (20). French (16), Aitchison (14). L. Nicholson (11), and Thomson (11) being prominent. Martin and Steele bowled well for Mornington. Grange easily defeated Albion by 121 rune. Grange made 132, Bj*chan (56 not out) and Bond (44) playing in fine style for their runs. Albion were disposed of for 11. Marks bowled best for Albion, while Richmond (six wickets for 2) and Davis (two for did likewise for Grange. The High Scnool v. St. Kilda match was played on the school ground. School made 103, Nicholson (24), Kirkland (22), and Reid (18) being prominent. St. Kilda made 40 in the first innings (Mason 14), and in the second 48 (Hazelwood 17). School thus winning "by an innings and 15 runs. For the School Reid took four wickets for 15 runs, and Cameron five for 21. For St. Kilda Cameron took four wickets for 30 runs.
