NEW ALPINE MINE.

(Fbok On* Oww Coxrxs'okdxnt.) GREYMOUTH. December 3. The New Alpine mine manager reports as follows: — During the week the crosscut was extended a further distance of 25ft, makinga total crosscut of 91ft. The falling-off in footage this week is due to the ground proving very bad drilling ground. The last round drilled t took two shifts and a-quarter, which should be done easily in one to aquarter shifts. However, I look for improved measurements next week.
