FEILDING RACES.

I Fiast Day — Mokdat, November 30. There was a large attendance at the Feildin^ races, which were held to-day in perfect weather. Thirty-six bookmakers were licensed and they paid £486 in fees. The totalisator figures for to-day were £8909, as compared with £12.789 for' the first day of tho last spring meeting. Won by a length. ST. ANDREW'S HANDlCAP.—Husbandman, 8.0, 1 ; The Lark, 8.3, 2 ; Moral, 8.13, 3. Also started : Tangimoana, j Mahuta, White Lie, San Julie, Riflemaidj. Tan San. Lamsdorff, Anemone. A splendid race. The field was bunched all the way. The Lark got away last, but made a splendid run at the finish. Won by a length ; the same distance between second and third. Time, 2min 36sec. SPRING HURDLE3.-oryx, 9.3, 1; Don Carlos. 9.0, 2 Mahoe, 10.6, 3. Also started : Lyrist, Gold Dust, Paparaehi, Defeat, Waitahuna. A good race. Don Carlos came out at the end of the first mile, and was two lengths ahead on entering the straight, ! where Oryx and Mahoe drew up.
