PORTOBELLO ROAD BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the Portobello Road Board was held at Portobello on, Nov. 26, the members present being Messrs Dickson (chairman), Burt, M'Cart* ney, Bacon, and Seaton. It was resolved to call for tenders for Mrs Wilson's new road formation at per chain, and the metal at per yard, the tenders to be separate, and ferwarde& to Mr John Bacon, Broad Bay, not later than 1 o'clock on Saturday, December 5. Messrs Aslin and Bedford wrote that Mr Nordgrin had sold sections 6 and 7, block 111, Oban, to Mr J. T. Wilbrune. The Taieri County Council wrote stating that a. conference of local bodies would bo held in the Town* Hall, Dunedin, when the election of members the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board takes place. A letter on the same subject was received from the Hawksbury Borough Council. Mr T. M. Mercer wrote stating that h« had no interest ir- the property at Broad Bay for which he. was assessed, and intimating that" he would not hg responsible for any more rafces.- Received.'
