Tibs stewards of t.be Avondale Jockey Cluib opened an inquiry to-night into th« alleged foul ridkag and inconsistent running- -nrhioh it is deckiretl took plaoe at their recent meeting. Altogether wmo 20 witnesses, comprising owners, jockeys, and trainers, had been cited to appear, and all of tJioee who were able to "be present were in attendance. Dilrine the- . evening six witnesses were examined, and the inquiry vr&h adjourned until Tuesday next.
