CHRISTCHURCH, October 16. At t>hs half-yearly meeting of the Canterbury Jockey Club. Mr F. H. Pyne, the chairman, stated that tile committee had tkcided that the attendance of young children, which had been increasing' of late, was not desirable, and tha/t in future the full charge would have to be paid for their admission to any part of the ground*. The Appeal Cornmkt-ee held an inquiry into the conduct of D. Price, a disqualified jockey, at "the Q/hcka. and Eyreton J.C. n-.ee ting. It was reported that Price had mode himself moyt objectionable at the g-atihering under notice, mr^ had made use of impec-ti-nent language.
