SAD B OATING ACCIDENT.
HCSBAM) AND WIFE DROWNED. GitEYMOUTH,. October 19. A sad boating fatality occurred at Lake 3runiier on Saturday evening. It appears tihat Jir and Mrs Green and family went ouie on the lake in two boats, i'lr and .Mrs Green and a boy (aged 14 years), in ■a flat-bottomsd boat, had proceeded as far as Hore&shoe Bay, and were returning .beiween 5 and 6 o'clock on their homeward trip, when the boy decided to change places with his father. In the act of charging the boat capeized aaid turned over. As soon as tfos boat filled Mr and M,vs Green sank, and the boy did not sea them again. The la-d hung on to the ibatftocn of the- iboat till the second boat came up, when he was rescued. Considerable .time was spent in searching for i'he .bodies of Mr and Mrs Green, but without avail. The boy .states that his failier could swdni, and suTmiisod that in trying >to rescue Mis GTeen both were drowned.
