CROMWELL, October 17. Dredging is still quiet, with nothing sensational in the way of returns. The Rise and Shine No. 1 dredge is doing well. No. 2 is improving, and will probably have gocd returns again shortly. Ths Riley's Revival dredge lost the bucket belt on Tuesday morning. It was recovered on Friday, and has not been coupled up yer. Tho Electric No. 1 dredge is still on pcor ground, and shareholder? here would like to H*e one of these dredges jjut en ths Clutha River. Tho Clutha River dr,edge has mad© another start, the new crown wheel havingbeen placed in position on Tuesday. The ground i 3 now improving, and should more than pay expenses. Mr Sutherland has made a start to put tho small pontoom on the flartley »nd Riley dredge, and this will be a great improvement.
