OTAGO CENTRE. Tho usual meeting of the Ota«ro Centre. X.'A.A. Union was held on the 7th, when Mr D. J. Corcoran presided over & large meeting of delegates. The Dun back Caledonian Society wrote applying for affiliation with the association and asking for Boxing Day for their annual sports. — Granted. The Alexandra Caledonian Sooietv applied for November 9 as a date for their annual gathering. — Granted. The N.Z. Athletic 'union wrote advisin? certain disqualifications, etc. — Received. J. Oliver wrote on behalf of Alex. Maxwell, who was disqualified for comr>etin% in a pipe-band contest, in Christehurcb. applyiig to have tbe disqualification removed.—Received. To be informed that Maxwell mart apply to the union. The Waitahuna' A&lefcio Club wrote asking for copies of rriles, etc., and intimating that a delegate to the centre would be Appointed at tiw cftnual meeting, to be held on 17th inst— Received. ' The question of holding evening: sports meetings was held over until next meeting. Accounts amounting to £16 2s 6d were passed for payment. The bank-book showed an actual credit balance of £27 ,10s Ud.
