FRANCO -BRITISH EXHIBITION. LONDON, October 8.
The Franco-British Exhibition will close- this month. It has been co snccef&ful that a scheme is under consideration for holding a similar' exhibition next year- , ' NEW ZEALAND'S LOST OPPORTUNITY. CHRISTCHURCH, October 12. Mr J. 6. Davis, a well-known Christchurch - resident, -who has just returned ironic a trip to England, speaking to a Press representative, was enthusiastic about th© Franco-British Exhibition taken as a whole, but confessed to a feeling of intense disappointment as far as the New Zealand Court was concerned. "We have -> lost the grandest chanoa to advertise New Zealand that we ever had in our lives," he said. "We have only a paltry • little bit of a show not much larger than the Ashbuxton Court at the Christchurch Exhibition. I went to the court four times, but could get no information, and had to go a fifth time before 1 could see anybody. I asked for the literature which was supposed to be distributed to visitors, and the man pointed ■to some shelves in the inquiry office. I expressed the opinion that the Canadian method should be followed by displaying the literature openly on a table, and having someone there who . could talk about, th© country. Canada made the finest chow, but as fair as advertising was concerned Australia did better than either ; Canada or New Zealand, even though the exhibits were shown as from separate States and not from the Commonwealth *s a wiiolf." , \
