REEFTON, August 31. ! The New Big River mine's report on the various stopes is as follows: — No. 5 stope: Branch block reef, 3ft; No. 6 stope, same block, 12ft; No. 5 stope, eastern block, reef , 12ft; No. 6 stope, same block, 6ft ; No. 7| fltope, eastern block, rtv-i ISin. We have ' just reached the reef in No. 9 level south. ' We have continued on the reef track in No. 9 winze wiUhout sign of the hanging wall. , In No. J level we expect to break through ' the level into the rise early next week. No. 8 level i« being repaired preparatory to driving on the south reef track. One hundred and fifty tons of Btone were raised during the week, and the battery made full time.
