i SYDNEY, August 27. The High Court has dismissed the State Attorney-general's appeal against Mr Jus*ice Street's decision that the whole of the charitable gifts under the late Mr George Adams's will were void owing to

their uncertainty. When "the other appeals involved in the case were called on couneel announced that a settlement had been reached which was satisfactory alike to Mr "W. J _Adams, to the Tasmania property beneficiaries, and to the beneficiaries of the Tattersairs sweep business. One of the provisions of the agreement confirms the action of the frustees of the estate in distributing unclaimed prize moneys from the year 1897, as they become statute barred, amongst charities of tie States of the Commonwealth and in New Zealand. The agreement also authorises a continuance of the distribution of such moneys, -co that full effect is given to the wishes of the testator in this respect.
