DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB.
At a meeting of the D.J.C. Committee on Thursday night, The privileges for the year were lot as follows : — Licensed booth, Mr J. Stenhouse ; tea rooms and stand luncheon, Mise Murray ; outside luncheon, Mra Beataon ; oyster stand, Mr W, Anderson ; race books, Mr W.- Alloo. Mr J. Sinclair-Thomson tendered his resignation as a member of committee owing to his leaving for the Old Country. — Accepted with regret. It was resolved to vote 10 guineae to the New Zealand Turf Register. The committee went through the programme for the season, and made several alterations, including an increase of the stakes by £970, making- the total £8470. Of the increase. £465 is allotted to the spring meeting. Last season there were only two races of £100 on this programme ; now there are only four not £100 or over. On other programmes there is now no race 1 of less value than £100, not even the Trial
Stakes. The" I^unedin Cup" is unaltered, but the hurdle- races at the Cup meeting are so increased as to give the winner of each £100 net.
