MINING ASSOCIATION FORMED. (Fhom Otra "Own Correspondent.) ROXBURGH, August 19. At a public meeting, attended by -some 30 or 40 gentlemen interested in mining matters, a Teviot Mining Association was formed, the -chief object being to' assist tli c Government in its endeavour to aid prospecting 1 . A resolution was passed asking the Government to send Dr Bell, the Government geologist, down to report on the district. Application is to be made to the Mines Department for the use of -a suitable plant for testing the numerous gullies in the vicinity of this district.
