♦ DECREASING IMPORTS AND EXPORTS. LONDON, March 14. The imports into France for January and February decreased by £500,000, and the exports by £3,000,000, as. compared with the same period of last year. PROPOSED NATIONAL CANAL. LONDON, March 14. A bill has been introduced into the French Chamber of Deputies providing for the construction of a national canal from Harfleur to Gennevilliers, at a cost of -£18,880,000.
