RAILWAY POOLING SCHEME
. ♦ LONDON, March 3. 'Mr Justice Lawrence has decided that the proposed pooling scheme between the Great Northern and Great Central Railway Companies for the sharing of profits and saving of expenses exceeded the statutory powers of those companies. An appeal waa taken -against the decision, and will be heard on Monday. Mr Lloyd-GeoTge is opposing the Great Northern and Great Central Railway Companies pooling tueir profits, on the ground that amalgamation wae not contemplated when Parliament sanctioned their working fcrrangemen*,
