OUTRAM.
March 9.—During the past week the weaither has been beautifully fine—heavy . dews at night and warm sunny days. In most oases the recent rains have come too late to save the turnip crops, and in consequence winter feed will be very scarce. Harvest operations aie now almost over, and the yield has been very satisfactory. Presentation.—At the conclusion of Sunday school (Presbyterian) on Sunday, Ist mist.. Miss Nichol, who has been a teacher in the school and a member of the Bible c'ass for * number of years, was, in view ! of her approaching marriage, presented with a- handsome writing desk and fountain pen, I the gift of the members of the Bible class and teachers. The presentation was made by Mr Neill (superintendent), who, in a few ' words, voiced the wishes of all in hoping . that she would h«ve happiness and pros- ' perity in her new home. j Personal.—l understand that the Rev. Canon I Dodd has resigned, his position as- vica-r of | the Anglican Church, and will leave the district about the end of April.
