NEW BRIGHTON SUICIDE. CHRISTCHURCH, January, 6.

An -inquest was held this afternoon toucning the death -of Thomas Godfrey Bezett, whose body was found on the beach at New ' Brighton on Sunday morning. The deeefesed's camping mate, Frederick George Gardner, said, that Bezett went to New Brighton on Friday last, an 4 .he had then a gun i*', his .possession. He behaved during Jus' stay' at "New Brighton 'in an editable manner, as if he were drunk. He informed ■witness that he was in trouble at Temuka, and that he was leaving the colony on Monday. -He was -peculiar in his manner on Saturday last, but was not under the influence of liquor He talked a lot to himself. He had previously told witness about a friend who had committed suicide. The jury -returned a yerdict that the deceased committed suicide while of unsound mind. -
