MOSSBURN.
January 2.— Perfect summer weather has jwevniled hare during the holiday season. Kain- would be- most welcome now, as everything' is. very dry. Large numbers of tourists .have been passing through our district on. their, w^y to the lakes, and several parties are camping jut in different places of interest.
School. — Our school broke up on December -20- fos- sis weeks' holiday) amd will 'be reepened'on February 3. Agricultural. — Everything is looking unusually well here just now. Feed is abundant, a<nd stock of all kinds are looking in good condition. The grass harvest will be on in about a week or 10 days. Most of our fomrers are finished shearing,, the trouble How beimg the low- state of the wool market.
Church. — The Rev Mr Rankin is. I believe leaving this district shortly, to take •up duties, in another parish. I think all Shs parishioners here will be sorry to heaT .of his going. Preparations sure in hand iox a concert vrhioh is to he held at an early date, the proceeds to go towards purchasing a r»w organ fijff church services.
