SKIPPERS RESIDENT SERIOUSLY INJURED. (From Our Own Correspondent.) ARROWTOWN, January 6. A serious accident befell Mr B. Rogers at Skippers on Saturday. He was putting in, a charge of dvanmite when it exploded* Hib left hand was blown off and the fingera of his right hand were shattered. He also received injuries to his eyes and sustained a great shock. He was taken to the Frankton Hospital, where his left hand . was amputated at/ the wrist, and the fingers of his _ right hamJ were also amputated. It is also feared he will lose his sight. , Mr Rogers is a and re•spected resident of the district, and at one time was chairman -of the Lake County Council. General regret is expressed afc the sad occurrence. From- latest accounts he is progressing favourably.
