PENINSULA ROAD BOARD.

The regular monthly meeting of th« Peninsula Read Board was hold on-, the 7th, and was attended by Messrs J. Gar* (in tha chair), Brunton, Black, Riddell, and Weir. Mr Jury wrote asking to have some repairs effected on the road at Allen's Hill.— The surfaceman was instructed to attend to tha work ; also to put binding on Highcliff road and to finish Main road. The board decided to invite tender* for several works at Hooper's Ink* and the Main road. During the month the board purchased 7800 birds' eggs. It was decided that the board adjourn till the first Saturday in March. The chairman and clerk were authorised to attend to the payment of small accounts during the interval. . Aooounte amounting to £62 8« 6d w«z« passed for payment.
