LEX says: "Dear Emmeline, — I am writing & line to wish you and all the membecs of the Cosy Corner Chib, past and present a very happy Christmas season and a prosperous New Year." VAL writes : " Dear Emmeline,— This is juet « little note to wish you and all the members of the C.C.C. ft merry Christmas and a happy New Year. We had Rangiora for a very short visit on 'her way to Auckland, and enjoyed her company very much indeed. We were sorry she could not stay a week with us. P.S. — We are well pleased with the copy of Boy Friend's book, and hope he will have a great sale." RANGIORA writes as follows: " Zee ■wrote to me very recently; still going on bravely, and not expecting furlough for another year. It is too long to work in such a climate for three years without a spell, and I should have been glad to hear she was coming home soon; but she seems quite satisfied. Now, to the known and unknown members of the club, and to 3500,. dear Emmeline, I send greeting and good -wishes for health and happiness, not at the Christ season only, but for every succeeding •lay."
