A CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY.
Life is sweet in my garden old! Fair the blossoms of many dyes: Warm white silver and burnished gold
Shaped to a thousand ecstasies. Dreams of an elder world within,
And peaceful visions hoar by hour. Outside a grey road, din- on din,
And eager mortals seeking power*
Here tall trees known of centuries - Spread new leaves, green with lilting, glow J The breeze sings rustling melodies^ While crystal waters murmur low. ThVre near the gateway roaea blow; .High, high o'erhead the sky is dear; Birds chime their song of long ago, And I forget the failing year.
