j WELLINGTON, December I*. 1 The programme for the New Zealand ' Rifle- Association meeting at Treniham in * Maroh next was issued to-day. There will be the same number of matches as at the last meeting. The championship prizes are increased from £30 to £50. The pull or the trigger will be 51b, instead of 6lb. A. match (pr rifle clubs has been introduced -• It will be fired simultaneously with the Volunteer Match, and .the ranges will bo 200, 600, and 800 jrards. There will also be in connection with this match a Teams Match, 20 men a-side, between Volunteers ' and rifle club men, for a prize of £20,. presented by the Hon. H. Gilmer. Thai eize of the target at 200 yds haa been/ altered in accordance with the new Bialey, . rule— viz., the bull's eye will be 6in, inner. , ISm, magpie 24in, outer the remainder on the target. The executive has decided to allow the use of the new wind gauge .slide m authorised by the War Office. No other, gauge will be allowed. The 700 yds range as been abolished.
