EXAMINATION PAPERS. (From Own Correspondent.) December 12.

WELLINGTON, Mr Joynt, Registrar of the New Zealand University, informed me that all the fenewers of the Wellington candidates for the Matriculation and Junior Scholarship papers for Monday and Tuesday last were destroyed in the fire. For the Matriculation examination fresh papers will be set for "the Wellington candidates only. In Tegard to' the scholarship examination (which is a competitive one), the position is different, and fresh papers will have to be set for the whole of New Zealand for the subjects taken on Monday and Tuesday last. All the candidates will within the next few days receive a. circular bearing on the subject. The new examinations will be held on Monday and Tuesday, January 20 end 21.
