SUNDAY TRAVELLING.
AUOKLAND*December 11. At the Auckland Presbytery last evening, the Rev. G. Soott moved— "That the Presbytery express emphatic disapproval of the conduct of a number of members of the Hcuee of R.epre92ntatives in travelling by special train on a recent Sunday in returning from Parliament, when there was no necessity to do go, and thus advertising their disregard for the day." Some of the oteiical representatives eaid they 6hou'd consider whether they tthemselves were blameless before they passed euch a resolution, whilj others were of opinion there was too much Sabbath desecration, and it was tirrie a strong stand- was n>ade against it. The lay represeoiativca appeared similarly divided, and it -was eventually decided that the motion lie on the table, end that the committee report on the whole question of Sabbath desecration. Ada Swannington, aged 20, of Warrnambool, Victoria, has been in a trance for 70 days. The trance began after a violent quarrel with her sweetheart.
