LAND SALES.
Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report having recently effected the following sales of station and farm properties in Otago and Southland: — On account of Mr Samuel Henry (Evan's Flat), his well-Wnown Bellamy Station, near Lawrence, comprising about 8000 acres of freehold and 26.000 acres of leasehold, to Mr John MunSell (Timaru), who •leo purchased all the stock on the station, comprising 10,000 sheep, and herpes, caitie, and station plant. On account of Mr W. M. Haites (Balfour), his Ardlussa and Catf.e f*la,t properties, comprising 11.240 acres freehold and 6000 acres leasehold, also 5000 sheep, and horses, cattle, etc., depasturing thereon, to Messrs Donald Macdonald (Edendak) and T. L. Barnhill (Castlerock). Orraccount of Messrs J. M. and D. A. M'Kenzie { (of Palmerston), their Bushey Park Estate, comprising 2260 acres of freehold and 86 acres of leasehold, being all first-class agricultural mind fattening land, with splendid homestead ana grounds, to Mr Roderick IF-Kensie (late of Birchwood Estate). Mr M'Kenzie also took over at valuation about 4000 sheep, mostly breeding ••res, with lambs. On account of Mr James ~ frfonhtTi (Makikihi), his Waimea Homestead J£«t»te, comprising 4973 »cres -of first-class flat, clean agricultural land, to Mr F. Wallis
(Gore). On account of Mr F. WaLis (Gore), the homestead block of the W«ime* Estate, comprising 1040 acre 3, to Mr James Butler (Balfour). On account of Mr John Wither (Dnnedin), his fine freehold property, known as Meadowbank Estate, - situated near Palmerston, and containing about 4318 acres, to the« New Zealand Government, • for closer settlement. On account of Mr John Edie, (Edievale), his" splendid agricultural and pastoral property, situated in the Crookston district, and containing 3500 acres freehold, to Mr William Palmer (Merino Downs). On account of the Executors in the estate of the late Mr James M'Lean (Waikaia), his Routeburn Station, in the Lake "Wakatipu district, containing 930 acres freehold and about 33,000 acres leasehold, together with all the stock thereon, to Mr D. A. M'Lean (Kin'och). On account of Mr Daniel Clarke (of W«ipahi), his freehold farm of 1430 acres, close to the W«pahi Railway Station, to Mr A. J. Webb, (of Timaru), who also purchased 1800 crossbred sheep, 40 head cattle, 30 horses, etc., on the property. On account of Mr Fred. Willis (Gore), Lot 2, on plan of Waimea Estate, comprising 1068 Acres; to Mr Robt. Butel (Balfour) ; Lots 4 and 5, comprising 440 acres, to Mr Edward Butler (Riversdale) ; Lots 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10. comprising 2420 acres, to Mr Andrew Small (Lumsden). On account of Mr John M'Rae (of Tarras) his fine property, containing 755 acres freehold and 2145 acres lease-in-perpetuity, all fir st-ciaas fattening land, toHiiK Smith (of Tarras). On account of Mr John Crowe (Rannock, Orawia), his freehold property, known as Sharpridge, containing approximately 1652 acres, being sections 70-76 and 86-87, inWaiau Survey District, to Mr a. W. Rodger, jun. (of Birohwood Estate). On account of Mr T. H. WooJley (Moa Flat), his freehold farm of 872 ares, being lot 18 on the map of Moa Flat Eotate, to Mr Donald Macdonald (of Edendale). On account of Messrs Sutherland Bros. (Lumaden), their freehold property, near Holmesdale, comprising 980 -acres of splendid land, originally part of the CastleTock Estate, to Mr A. P. Cowie (of Balfour). On account of Mr George Oater (Balfour), his freehold farm of 680 acres, being section 10, block XI, Black Swamp, to Mr W. M. Hailes (Balfour). On account of Mr Thomas EJain (Waikaia), his freehold property, comprising 1835 acres, and being sect-ions 520, 417, 416, 72, and 9, Hokonui Survey District, to Mr Martin O'Shea (Balfour). On account of 'Mr William. Wells (Mo» Flat), his freehold farm of 665 acres, being lot 25 on the plan of Moa Flat, together with 700 young crossbred ewes, to a Moa Flat farmer. On account of Mr A. P. Cowie (Balfour), his freehold farm known as Hampton, comprising 680 acres of first-class land, to Mr Malcolm Macdonald (Balfour). On account of Mr James M'Kinnon (Tussock Creek), his property, containing 157 acres 3 roods freehold land, being sections 55 and 56, block VIII, New Barer Hundred 1 , also goodwill in perpetual lease of 80 acres, being section 54 of the some block to Mr Duncan M'Kinnon (Tussock Creek). On account of Mr Thomas Gordon (Wmirio), his freehold farm of 442 acres, being sections 183 and 184. Wairio Survey District, to a southern client. On account of Mr Robert Cleave (InvercargiM), the balance of his Bay Road property, ocmsosting of approximately 54 acres freehold! land, comprised in sections 8 and 9 on the plan of the above estate, to Mr John Grant (Wallacetown). On account of Mr John Agnew (Balclutha), his section of J-acre in town of Balclutha, with house^ etc., thereon, to Mr D. M. Ritchie (Balclutha). On account of Mr Robert Butel (Balfour), his freehold farm of 1050 acres to Mr Andrew Small (Lumsden) ; also, on account of Mr Robert Butel, sections 5 and 407 a, Hokonui Survey District, comprising 171 acres, to Mr Daniel Daley (Bnlfour). On account of Mr John Wither (Dunedin), about 96 acres of the Meadowbank Estate, to Mr David Ross (Palmerston).
The National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand reports the following saea completed by it recently: — On account of Mr Albert Hall, 320 acres freehold (Wendonside) and 1040 acres leasehold ("Wendonside), to Mr Colin Robertson. On account of Mrs M'Millan (Gore), 55 acrea freehold, within four miles of Gore, on the Mataura River, east bank, to Mr James Beattie. On account of Mr J. E. Humphries (Mataura), 152 acres. On account of Patrick Cumming(Cattle Flat), 414 acres. "VVendoneide, to Mr Alexander Alexander. On account of Mr C. J. Harper. 1140 acres 1 rood 10 perches, at Wester-field, to Messrs William Botherway and Thomas Cranwell.
