Large Finger Prints.
A vicar had' his ripe fruii stolen, the only clue to the culprit being- a finger-print left on. an unripe peach. He had a photographic, enlargement made. ' "Jake/ said the reverend g-entleman, on meeting an individual he suspected, "someone robbed my garden the other night." ''Did 'em. sir?" replied Jake innocently." "Yea," went on the vicar sternly; "but the thief left his mark behind, and I can easily trace him." "You don't say so?" said Jake somewhat nervously. "Yes: do you see thig?" and the good man produced the enlarged reproduction. Jake pealed visibly. "I see 'taint no good denyin' it," said he, with a sigh of resignation: "I pinched ver fruit right enough ; but *bw you got that . impression o' th' seat o' ray oorderoys I'm blessed if I know."
