An Appeal to the Charitable.

TO THB EDITOR.

Sib, — With your permission I should like to make an appeal to the readers of your widely-ciroulated paper. With Jhe season of festivity and good-will drawing in upon us, we would like to lend a little brightness to the lives of the unfortunate and die* appointed ones of our city. Those who have enough and to spare let me aak to remember those less favoured. Both our Dunedin homes are filled with the class of women and girls for whom the Salvation Army's social work exists. Will our friends help us in our efforts at this Christmas season? Donations of TOoney or kind may be sent to either Major Blincoe, Rescue Home, Oavershsm, or Adjutant Duff, Maternity Homo, Heriofc Row. 1 hanking you 'for past help,— l. am, etc.. B. Buncos,

Matron Salvation Army Home. Rescue Home, December 6.
