A THEATRICAL CASE.

A case of interest to players and natrons of the theatre was mentioned in the Supreme Court to-dav — viz., that of Howard Vernon and his wife, Lavinia FlorenceVernon (formerly Mi<=s Do Loitte). v. James MacMahon and William Gunn. The plaintiffs in the action/ claim £175 for alleged! wrongful dismissal. The case was removed from the Magistrate's Court into the Runreme Court, and, on the application of defendant Gunn's solicitor, a. month's extension of time in which to file- a statement of de'fenco was granted. Counsel staked that his client desired to get evidence from Sydney.
