Cowstabl© Taylor prosecuted and Mr J. R. Kfck, # Kaeeby, appeared for the 'accused, in whose possession the gun had been found in Mil*, ton. Evidence for the prosecution was given by M'Lennan and hi* wife, William, Gordon, and Constable M'Rae, Milton. Thai 'accused pleaded not guilty, and explained) that he had purchased the gun from Gor< don for £1. The bench considered tho evidence for the police inconclusive, and dismissed the case. * *.'
