A STEAMER WRECKED

OTTAWA, December 3. The Canadian- Pacific liner Mount Temple was wrecked off the west coast of Ironbound Island during a blinding snowstorm. Six hundred passengers •were safely landed by means of baskets. The Mount Temple was a four-masted twin-screw steel steamer, of 8790, tons register. She was built by Armstrong and Whitworth in 1901 for the Canadian-Pacifio Company. Her /principal dimensions are: Length 450 ft, breadth 59ft, depth 30ft 4in.
