A special meeting of the executive of th< above was held on Tuesday to consider tha) position in regard to the entry fojms of uw competitors in the Sheffield Handicap at the! Labour Day sports at Henley. There weia. present Messrs Coughlan (chair), Keast, M'Ksy, Brady, Hobbs, and Corcoran. Anew full consideration it was decided to inform! the Otago Labour Day Association—" Tu*t, owing to inaccuracies in their entry forms, neither J. Puddy, T. Sime, or D. Sime (iih« three placed men) is entitled to receive any. prize money in connection with the said race." The meeting also expressed itself ta the effect that the letter which -v^rb sent ta the Brighton Coledonian Society re register* ing, and which was published in both local papers, was quite in accordance with fact, Th« Roxburgh Cycling Club wsus granted s» permit for January 1, and the Ida Valle| Athletic Club wa* affiliated and granted permission to hold sports on December 26 t subject to the usual conditions. ALEXANDRA SPORTS. Our Alexandra correspondent states that the annual sports gathering of the local Cale« donian' Society wa» he'd on Monday in delightful weather. F. Callings, of Hawea, won tlur Wheel Rnce, value £10; and G. JTLeod; annexed the Alexandra Handicap, 130 yds, value £15.
