A SERIOUS CHARGE .
AUCKLAND, November 17. Three young men were arrested on war* rant lust evening charged with assaulting 1 with intent to do grievous bodily harm a witness in the case against the conductor Spence, who wa« convicted last, Friday on a charge of theft. They wore released on bail, the case being fixed fo.r next Wednesday.
