Balk and G«ll•way -wer* re-elected the club's delegates on, the N.Z.BJL The club holds ite annual social and dance on August 7 next. Accidents.—A serious accictent befell Mx A. Smith, senj, at Skipper* on Saturday !«et. J±e - slipped over c rocky face, and roiled seme distance, finally falling over an: embankment of 6 or 7 feet. He. was taken to the Arrow Hospital, where it was found that his arm w*« baddy broken, and lie- had *lao received aevenal bruises about the body. He is now progressing favourably. "While Mi J. Slephenson, of Skippers, and JiISS Robertson, of Queenstown, w-ere driving from Fronktan to Queenatown on Sunday last the- horse- bolted, and the wheel of tne gig came into contact with another trap. The result w«s that the gig was capsized, «nd i»4h occupants were thrown out. J**** Robertson's right arm was fractured below the shoulder, and she also received a severe shaking. Mt Stephenson also received a eerete shaking. Both were taken tea the W4k*tipu Hospital, where they are- making modi progreae towards recovery. m Schools.—At the lut meeting of the QueaaßtDwn. The Queenstown Committee, by three votes to two, favoured Bible-reading S echoole, but disapproved of the teacher imparting the instruction.
