AGAVE, OR AMERICAN ALOE, IN FLOWER. These plants take fro 11 10 to 70 years to flower, according to the c.imate. The one show 1 above, which has jusi flowered in Mr A, Morgan's garden ii Castle street, Dunedin, was planted some 20 years ago. The flower sta'k grew up to about 15 feet in a very short time, and the appearance of the tufted flowers branching off from the main sta.k made it a striking object.
