SALE OF TROTTING STALLION.

liessrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co. (Limited) report as follows: — We have sold privately at a high figure to Messrs Glenister Bros., of Victoria, the well-known trotting stallion G.T.F. on account of Mr E. Townsend, Outram. G.T.F. is a handsome bay, five years old, and stands fully 16 bands high. He is a beautifully turned horse, of undoubted quality and substance, a truegaited trotter, and a great stayer, having a -big strain of Traducer blood in his veins. Be is splendidly bred, his sire being the redoubtable General Tracy, his dam Flora, by Blackwood Abdallmh, g-dwn Tribune, by T&aducer. General Tracy is noted as a sire of trotting speed from mares of all descriptions, and his sons are founding great families of: their own. One of the most noted of his gets is Experience, that great breeding horse which we sold two years ago to the Messrs Glenister. The dam of G.T.TT. was Flora, a very fast maxe, who did a mile in 3£3. G.T.F. himself has been a most consistent track performer. He has started seven times, and has run thrice first, twice second, once third, being unplaced once only. He has always been trained and driven by hiß late owner — an amateur. His best winning time is 4xnin 2 3-ssec for one mile and a-half, at Tahuna Park. Mr E. J. Glenister has inspected all the leading trotting studs in New Zealand within the last few days, and it will be generally admitted that he. has, in selecting G.T.F., again chosen a stallion "that will be a most valuable addition to the breeding ranks of Victoria.

milk-cart and butchers' order-cart horses, at from £18 to £25; light hacks, at from £8 to £13; extra good hacks and harness horses, at from £18 to £25; weedy and aged do, at from £5 to £7.
