Potatoes.— This market exhibits a firmer tendency than when we last reported. Prime table descriptions, free of disease and in good keeping condition, especially meeting with improved inquiry. Badly dis*ased and etherwise inferior sorta are mcie difficult to quit at late values. Quotations: Extra choice, to £1 10s; prime table, £4 to £4 ss; good do,. £3 10a to £3 17s 6d ; medium, £3 to £3 7s 6d; inferior, £2 \tpwards per ton (bags in). Chaff — The market is very firm, and to-day's prices show an advance on those ruling last 1 week. Prime bright oaten sheaf, well cut and heavy, is saleable at up to £5 7s 6d. Straw. — Quotations: Oaten. 57s 6d to 60s; best wheate_ to 40s. Turnips. — Quotations: Best swedee, 25s per ton (loose, ex truck).
