OAMARU, June 17

At the Magistrate's Court to-day Margaret Andrews was convicted of sellingliquor in a no-license district, and fined £10 and costs. This ease was the result of a police raid on April 26 last, when a quantity of concealed liquor was seized. The defence was that the liquor was hidden by the defendant's husband for his private use, but the magistrate held that the evidence pointed to a sale.
