Last night the weather waa very threatening, and although snow fell in several place* we had ■very little ram. and no snow whatever. Potatoes — Potatoes ar© not very plentiful teTe, and the crops are only fa,ir Most of them have already been dug, and are row ready for market, but many are holding for a better price. Church Bazaar —The Presbyterian Church bazaar takes place on the 27th and 28th of this month, and promises to be a most successful function. In addition to the eaie of

work, foT which the ladies are busy sowing, there will b« a cuno stall, shooting gallery, and many other interesting attractions. The new fence will soon be eTected at the entrance to tke church and will be a great improvement to our handsome little kirk. La-st Sunday the choir, under Mr T. G. Hayman, gave an excellent rendering of the anthem "There shall »o evil befall thee," axid the foTto shown augurs well for the success of the- concert to be given at a larter date.

School Committee. — At the last, meeting of the local committee the desirability of fce'dmg a. school concert was discussed, and it was decided not to definitely &x a date until next meeting, when, the chairman was authorised to procure various necessary articles applied for by the master. The drainage from down pipes, which h*s been a source of trouble, is to be rectifi-ed. The master reported that the roll number has increased by six during the. quarter, being now 96; but the average was not high enough to entitle them, to the cervices of a pupil teacher. It was also resolved that seats be put in suitable places in the pl&ygTound. Tennig. — Negotiations in connection with the new tennis court are proceeding quietly, and tenders will be called in a few days.
