OTAGO WITNESS POPULAR PRIZE COMPETITIONS.
GENERAL READERS' SECTION. A series of interesting competitions, extending over three months, has been arranged for readers of the Otago Witness. These include competitions for the general reader, which, like those for the farmer, are open to all, provided the answer is accompanied by the coupon appearing below. The one who 6cnds in the largest number of correct answers wins the prize of £2 10s offered in this section. The final results will be given in the Christmas Annual. COMPETITION NO. V. This week's competition is for the best definition of the striking differences which exist between the people and tone of the four principal cities in New Zealand — Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Paper not to exceed 200 words. Replies must be in hand by July 17.
