__ — ♦ .. PARIS, February 13, Owing to the attitude of the Vatican* regarding past proposals, M. Briantt (Minister of Public Worship) nas arranged for a contract enabling a priest to secure a' lease of his church for 18 years, the clergy to be responsible for repairs. The benefit I of the contract extends to any successor appointed by the bishop. A satisfactory j settlement is now more assured.
