RAILWAY DISASTER.
TRAIN FALLS OVER AN EMBANK* MENT. FIFTY PERSONS KILLED.
NEW YORK, February 17. An electric train on the New Yorfi Central railroad foil over an embankmenti at Bronx Park. Fifty persons were killed! aud many injured. The wiecked cars took; fire. February 18. The Bronx Park accident was appart ently duo to the high speed of the train in rounding a curve causing the rails to spread. The cars overturned and fell on theic sides. The couplings still held, and somei ol- the coaches were dragged a furlong. Many people fell through the window's! and were crushed between the car and t-he permanent way. Others were «l«ctro« cuted by coming into contact with Hy4| wires.
