THE WOOL SALES.
SYDNEY, February 12. At the wool sales there was very strong competition, and prices reached the highest level. Greasy, 14Jd ; scoured. 23* d. Private advices received yesterday state that j Messrs Winchcombe, Carson, and Co., Sydney, held a splendid wool sale yesterday, selling over 5000 bales Good greasy wool realised up to 13Jd, and scoured to 23Jd. The market was very firm. Febiuary 18. The wool market is strong, and the late xates are fully maintained.
