Cricketer. — (1) Yes, a batsman has a brief rest after running, but if it became apparent that he was needlessly wasting tin»e it .would be optional for the umpire to order lim to leave the wickets-. (2) If a ball becomes -the woise for wear, the captain of the side can make a request, through the umpire, for a new one. (3) Yes, an umpire can change his decision and give a batsman " not- out " after giving him " out," but if the opposing side objected, the " not out " decision would have to stand.
