THE BEST WHITE ROSE.

Without doubt the best white rose in cultivation is Frau Karl Drusch'ki. It originated in Germany in 1900, and was sent out and is always exhibited as a hybrid perpetual, although it more closely resembles a hybrid tea. The name under which it was first exhibited in Germany fSchnee konigin, or snow queen) is an appropriate name. The growth is vigorous; and it is a, continuous bloomer, the individual flowers frequently measuring 6in across. It is said to be a cross between Merveille de Lyon and Caroline Testout, the former a hybrid perpetual and the other a tea rose. If the vigorous shoots are pegged down in the spring, an extra quantity of bloom will be obtained, showing it to be a first-class bedding rose.
