'The wheat markets are firm owing to humours of the possible partial prohibition ©f Russian exports, because of the famine. Nineteen thousand quarters of New South Wales wheat (January shipment) have been sold at 30s l£d, and a cargo of Australian wheat has been sold at 30s 2d. • Hour is hardening, and all sorts are from 6d to 9d dearer. Australian flour is selling in Glasgow at 22s 6d ex store. Freights are steady. Fixtures have been made for South Australian flour from 24s to 255; New South Wales (prompt), 24s to 24s 6d. Butter: There is a good trade, but prices are slightly easier. Choicest Australian, 98s, and occasionally 100s ; secondaries, 88s to 965, the quality being variable, some showing fehiness. Danish is unchanged. New Zealand, 100s to 102s. The Bradford wool market is unchanged. Merinos are hardening, but crossbreds have a weaker tendency. At the London sheepskin sales 4400 were offered and sold. Greasy merino combings ■were from par to £d dearer; fine crossbreds, -Jd to id dearer ; coarse halfbreds, Id to Jd dearer ; lambs, Id dearer.
