WOOL FIRES COMMISSION.

THE OUTBREAKS ON THE WAIJIATE. WELLINGTON, February 6. Tho Wool Fires Commission to-day took the evidence of Captain Forsdick, of the eteamer Orari, who was master of the Wai mate when two separate fires broke out in the cargo of that vessel. One fire, he said, broke out among- flax and tow, -which was not near any wool. When water was put down the hold the heating was evident in a very short time. In the second fire five balo3 were burned. This wool had been shipped at Lyttelton. One bale when hoi6ted on deck burst into flame.
