On Saturday, the 19th, the priwleges in ' connection with the Tuapeka County Jockey Club's race meeting were submitted to auction by Mr J. C. Arbuckle at his rooms with the following results: — Lot 1, publican's booth, was bought for £29 by Mr B. Maitland ; lot 2. refreshment booth, was passed in, and 19 for private sa'e ; lot 3. lace cards, was secured by Mr Robertson for £18; lot 4, right to sell fruit, by Mrs Dick for £3. After the sale of the above the auctioneer submitted tho Local Industry Company's claim, plant, etc., in. Gabriel's Gully, which, not reaching vendoi's reaerve, was pas»ed in at £GOO.
